Long life food review part 1

I’m starting a new section on testing out freeze dried food. Starting with the ReadyWise 120 freeze dried fruit bucket. Which contains pouches of 4 bananas, 2 peaches, 4 strawberry and 4 apple.

the bucket
the buckets are full when comparing to other brands that are half empty
size of pouches apple on left strawberry in front
peaches left bananas right

I also have the Vegetable bucket and tinned butter to try out.

I had a quick look on youtube in the process of taking pictures and posting to see if anyone else had done reviews on the Ready Wise products. I found several, who knew. Im a dumbarse. However anyone that says that the freeze dried fruit straight out of the bag tastes good either has a numb tongue or is bullshitting.

It tasted like regret and cardboard. You have to sprinkle some water of FREEZE died fruit. Its not like normal dried fruit. I left it for half an hour while taking pictures etc. When I came back the fruit actually tasted just like although slightly wet sliced fruit. Guts it before taking pictures.

Only tried the strawberry and apple. My potassium level is too high to try the banana or peaches.

You have to be aware of the difference between servings and actual pouches of food. I watched grunt proof go through an entire bucket in a few days. You have to work out exactly how many buckets you would need for a family.

I think these buckets are great for short term emergency’s or to supplement buckets of lentils, beans, split peas and rice.
