The last time I was in hospital I was ramped for several hours and then didnt see a doctor for 4 hours. That was Christmas day. In two years they still cant my meds chart correct. Year before last i was kicked out after two weeks, was back in two days, kicked out again after two weeks. They finally did a bronchosopy and found the infection. Put me on the correct antibiotic and promptly kicked me out again for the bed. If a mate hadn’t of put me up on his lounge for two days I would have been found dead in my van. The RAH SUCKS. Nurses are great though. To make it worse there is no decent coffee in the whole place.

Just got off the phone with Chis Pictons office and what a complete waste of ten minutes of my life. Got the usual run around to another department. The politicians here are useless.

In the old RAH I was left in a closet overnight until a bed was available.. Turned up at ED and the guy at the counter was screaming at me to tell him what the problem was. I finally got my breath from waking in and said I cant fukn breath. I had an oxygen bottle and nasal secs in then the nurse came and grabbed me. had doctors remove medications from my chart without permission. I was having trouble breathing and buzzed for Ventolin . the nurse came in and said Ill just check your chart. it was hanging on the wall for fuks sake. The response sorry its not on your chart. I went off. Never saw the doctor again after that. The new hospital I went into once when it was first built. I took off for 6 years so I didnt have to go into the place. Had to have a catheter put in my arm to check the pressures in my heart. I said not to use the right arm as Ive torn off the tendons from my bicep. They couldnt get it to go through my left arm and did the right arm any way as I was doped up. I was in pain for months afterwards. 6 years and they still ramp patients for 4 hours.

Ill keep adding these experiences as they come to mind. I have 25 years of them, but phone the ministers office to volunteer to testify and your immediately given the run around.

AND yet still better than the last experience I had a Flinders. One piece of advice the nurses at Flinders on the wards talk all fukn night as loud as they can . Dont expect any sleep.
