I saw these two clips and ignored them at first . Then became intrigued and saw it as a good training idea. I also asked a few friends as to what their three knives would be. One mates first choice was a Leatherman Surge which I didn’t consider another a SAK.

After going through my list of blades I own. I choose three which were not what I was going to choose at the start. Only three with no other parameters such as environment or hostility and even blade size. I thought I would have picked one of my LT Wrights or Rieffs.

I ended up choosing an ESEE RB3 for the small blade. I wanted atleast one with a scandi grind. The Tops HOG 4.5 for the medium and for the large an 8 inch Crowner Bolo in 3V.

I do have several Winklers on order which may change this selection but with no other parameters this would be my current choice.If in a hostile environment a Spyerdco Temperance for a fighter or a Tactical Trout. In a more tropical regions a 14 inch Crowner bush knife. My ultimate three would be the Winkler SD2 along with the Lost lakes but with a Gransfors outdoor axe, for my region.
