I always forget to do before pictures of vehicle builds. So far to pass the roadworthy, Ive had to change the sump plug, weld the K-Frame, replace tire rod ends and front rotors.

The Perfection loop an alternative to the bowline for placing a loop into the ends of line?
This one may take a little practice to get into my head automatically, but looks interesting. Several ways to tie it below.
An easier way of tying it.
I’m gradually upgrading all my cooking gear from aluminum to stainless steel. Ive been waiting for some time to locate a stainless mess tin set (Dixie cups). I just wanted to post pictures of the differences between aluminum and stainless in wall thickness and sizes.

The Pile Hitch in combination with half hitches and a mid line clove hitch is a simple method to attach the throw line to the climbing line for bushcrafters to throw lines up through trees to form shelters or to hang food bags.

A quick look at the Kodiak by Work Tuff gear designed by Alex at Aurora Borealis knives. Feels nice in the hand, much lighter than I thought it would have been compared to the spine thickness. No harmonics or hot spots. Looking forward to giving it a good work out. I would also like to grab the 6.5 inch Wolverine. Great customer service I was getting txts every stop the blade made including as it turned up at my door.

I’m currently surrounded by boxes full of gear that I’m trying to sort through to downsize for living within a van. If it doesn’t fit into a knapsack to fit into my van and going to be used for something its either being sold, given away or trashed. I came up with enough items to form the basic kit for the Pathfinder Basic Course list. This course was coming to Australia however the plague hit but here’s still hoping. Its giving me goals to get my leg strong enough to walk distances.

I placed an order through John Maynard at Badger Claw Outfitters for a Heritage Edition axe/saw sling. A waxed canvas russet brown canteen carrier in 10 oz canvas and a Possibles Belt pouch.
The sling comes with reinforced tabs fitted with brass rings.Leather closure strap with antique brass buckle.English bridle leather shoulder strap with antique brass buckle.
Very good quality workmanship. I’m trying to go old school as much as possible with much of my gear now. John is great to deal with. Ill be testing these out, while on my trip next month.
